HONOLULU – The Department of Public Safety is currently seeking qualified candidates, island-wide, interested in becoming Adult Correctional Officers (ACOs). There is immediately Female only vacancies on all islands. The recruitment period ends on August 31, 2022.
Statewide ACO recruitment is open on the Department of Human Resources and Development (DHRD) website. To be eligible, candidates must meet all the requirements listed in the DRHD recruitment notice. Applicants must be a high school graduate or have a GED. They must also have one year of responsible work experience that shows the candidate has the ability to communicate effectively with people by following instructions from a supervisor and giving or exchanging information.
