Shri Bhagwanth Khuba, Union Minister of State for Chemicals, Fertilizers and New and Renewable Energy, spoke today on the FICCI interaction and the launch of GCPMH 2021, in Shastri Bhavan, New Delhi. He discussed various key issues regarding the availability of feed stocks, the judicious use of pesticides and achieving self-reliance in the petrochemical industry.
The Minister also launched the brochure of the 2nd edition of the Summit on “Global Chemicals & Petrochemicals Manufacturing Hubs in India” (GCPMH 2021). The event will be organized by the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, in association with FICCI from November 25-26, 2021 in New Delhi.
Major players in the chemical, petrochemical and crop protection industry shared their views on key issues in the sector such as trade tariffs, environmental issues, tariffs, registration of crop protection, R&D and technology to make India self-sufficient and recognized as a global manufacturing. chemical and petrochemical hub. The minister has listened to all the concerns and recommendations that have been brought forward by the industry.
