MINSK, October 5 (BelTA) – Some 200 companies are expected to participate in the 25th Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum (Energy Expo 2021) which is to take place from October 12 to 15, the Belarusian deputy minister told media of Energy, Olga Prudnikova. at the BelTA press center on October 5.
“This year the Belarusian energy system is celebrating its 90th anniversary. We are concentrating all our efforts on making the anniversary forum a worthy and interesting event for all participants. Over 200 organizations will participate in the forum and it will be actively covered in the media. We are about to discuss strategic areas for the development of the energy sector, ”said Olga Prudnikova.
The participants in the meeting will discuss the economic and environmental aspects of nuclear energy, prospects for the development of the green economy, topical issues of energy efficiency and energy saving, opportunities for further development of the electric transport in the country. The digitization of fuel and energy, industrial and petrochemical complexes will also be addressed. Particular attention will be paid to issues related to the training and retraining of engineers for the fuel, energy and other industries. The forum will also include conferences, seminars and round tables to present modern technological solutions in the fields of energy, petrochemicals, energy saving and ecology.
“Important changes are taking place in the energy and energy balance of Belarus due to the commissioning of the first BelNPP unit. These are changes in the structure of electricity production at our sources, as well as in the structure of consumption. Electricity is the main vector for heating and hot water supply. Electric transport, public and private, as well as car-sharing services (scooters, bicycles) continue to develop. This obliges us to develop the infrastructure, normative and legal regulations, and to solve the problems of tariff policy ”, declared the Deputy Minister of Energy.
The Belarusian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection regularly participates in the forum, and this year is no exception. According to Belarusian Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Aleksandr Goroshko, several subordinate organizations are participating in the events, including the Central Institute for Research on Integrated Water Resources Use, the National Center for Belarusian Ecological Research, the State Center for Environmental Expertise. and Professional Development of Managers and Specialists, the National Center for Hydrometeorology, Radioactive Pollution Control and Environmental Monitoring. “The collective exhibition of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection will highlight presentations of technologies in environmental protection and rational use of natural resources, renewable energies, management of waste. This year, the ministry will also organize a scientific conference on the green economy. The forum will become a unique platform for discussion on measures to be taken to improve environmental policy, ”he stressed.
According to Leonid Poleshchuk, deputy director of the Energy Efficiency Department of the State Committee for Standardization, a roundtable will be organized as part of the forum to discuss energy efficiency and the integrated use of electricity for apartment buildings. “The implementation of Decree No. 327” On increasing the energy efficiency of apartment buildings “has started with some success, with thermal modernization in progress,” he said.

This year, the exhibition will showcase the achievements of around 200 companies and organizations from seven countries. These are the leading companies in the energy and manufacturing sectors of Belarus, as well as world famous brands.
The forum will present a competition for innovative projects and start-ups, Belarus Energy Award 2021, and will also present the results of the national Energy Efficiency Leader 2021 competition.
The Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum Energy Expo 2021 aims to promote innovative technologies and best practices in energy saving and energy efficiency in the complex and industry of fuels and energy.
